Amos Rex Construction Site is Moving Forward

The Amos Rex construction site is moving forward after successful completion of the dome casting process.

The exhibition halls are located below ground, with the large domes forming the ceilings and acting as skylights. On the ground level,  the domes create a new public space on to the Lasipalatsi square, a former Helsinki bus station.

The domes were cast individually on site during October and early November. The work was started with the smallest dome, acting as a pilot study to find the best way to implement the domes.

After successfully completing the casting process, the work will now continue indoors.
