JKMM in 2017 Building of the Year Awards by ArchDaily

Three of JKMM’s recent projects are up for nomination in ArchDaily’s annual Building of the Year Awards.  Readers can nominate and vote the projects from January 23th to February 6th. The winners will be announced on February 7th, 2017.

For the 8th consecutive year, ArchDaily is tasking its readers with the responsibility of recognizing and awarding the projects that are making an impact in the profession. According to the rules, readers will first nominate buildings for the shortlist in sixteen different categories, followed by a vote for the winners in each individual category.

This year, JKMM is represented by three projects in three different categories:

In the Interior Architecture category we have the JKMM Office project. Completed in spring 2015, the project showcases our take on interior architecture and workspaces in particular.

Our Lahti Travel Centre project in the Public Architecture category is a copper clad, visually and functionally striking transportation hub in Lahti, Finland.

One of the contenders in the Office category is OP Vallila, the headquarters of Finland’s leading financial group and daily home base for 3000 employees. With an area of over 130 000 square meters and a wide variety of diverse spaces, it is the largest of our completed projects to date.

You can nominate each of the projects here: JKMM OfficeLahti Travel Centre and OP Vallila.
