Asmo Jaaksi Speaking in Rome

Our partner Asmo Jaaksi is speaking about Amos Rex in the conference held in Rome on Tuesday, 16th October at 3 pm. The conference “Architecture for culture in Finland. The new projects Amos Rex and Oodi. Talk with JKMM Architects and ALA Architects”  is hosted by Rome’s Casa dell’Architettura.

The aim of the conference is to foster international cooperation in the field of architecture between Finland and Italy. The conference is opened by the introduction by  Deputy Mayor of Helsinki Anni Sinnemäki, and followed by presentations of the project for the Amos Rex art museum and that for Oodi, Helsinki’s new central library.

Our partner and the Principal Architect of Amos Rex, Asmo Jaaksi, will illustrate the project for Amos Rex, a futuristic cultural hub that, as a dialogue between past and present, offers Helsinki a new cultural space, a contemporary art museum and a cinema.

The conference is curated by architect Arianna Callocchia and promoted by Casa dell’Architettura Cultural Commission, the Chamber of Architects of Rome and Roma Capitale, in cooperation with the Embassy of Finland in Italy, City of Helsinki and Association of Finnish Architects’ Offices ATL. The event is organised with the support of Archinfo Finland, Finnish Association of Architects SAFA, Italian Council of Architects and the Faculty of Architecture at Sapienza University of Rome.
