JKMM won top 3 finalist award in the International Competition for Shenzhen Antuo Hill Museums
JKMM won the “Excellent Prize” in the International Competition for Shenzhen Antuo Hill Museums. JKMM joined forces with Shenzhen-based architecture, landscape and urban planning team AUBE, and global strategic partner Barker Langham, and created together a competition entry called “Foundation Stone Garden” featuring multiple functions, vast design scope and around 214 000 m2.
The competition results were announced at the end of September. The winner is 2Portzamparc + AECOM + Beijing Institute of Architecture & Design (BIAD). And the competition entry by JKMM + AUBE + Barked Langham shared the second prize with MVRDV + Guangzhou Municipal Design Institute + Beijing Tian Modern Art Center + Artron Art Group.
Shenzhen Antuo Hill Museums (SAHM) is positioned as a public cultural facility and an ecological community of museums. It’s a multi-functional platform integrating cultural relics exhibiting, art exchange and display, art trading and other supporting services.
The design focus of this project is to translate the importance of location into its cultural attraction and revitalize this area through positioning, functional layout and operational strategies.
