Tammela Stadium shortlisted for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture / Mies van der Rohe Awards 2026

Tammela Stadium in Tampere has been shortlisted among the 40 selected works for the 2026 European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture / the Mies van der Rohe Awards. The prestigious award recognises outstanding European architecture that addresses social, urban and environmental challenges.

A total of 410 projects were nominated for the 2026 edition, from which an international jury selected 40 shortlisted works across 18 countries. Designed by JKMM Architects, Tammela Stadium represents Finland on the shortlist in the Sport & Leisure category.

The finalist projects will be announced in February 2026, with the winners revealed in April 2026.
