The buildings embody the humane scale and cozy atmosphere of townhouses with spacious sheltered inner yard in the middle of them. Durable and carefully selected natural materials are combined with peaceful and timeless design. In situ laid brick facades, natural stone embankments and dark wood details are in keeping the crafted feeling and inviting warmth.

Viikki is the first Finnish residential area with sustainable construction development goals. A unique set of criteria measures the ecological nature of construction projects in terms of pollution, use of natural resources, health of buildings, biodiversity and food production. The ecological criteria of the Viikki area is applied in the design.
