The original architecture of the Finnish Embassy in Paris, by architect Veli Paatela and interior architect Antti Nurmesniemi, dates back to the 60’s . The new interior design honours its timeless and high quality predecessor while incorporating functionality and Finnish heritage to the surrounding French culture.

The design theme evokes  the four seasons as experienced in Finnish nature. Seasons change from space to space, from the public rooms to conference rooms and offices.

Carefully chosen artwork by Finnish artists is incorporated into the overall design as an inherent part of the spaces. Woodwork by Ilona Rista, textiles by Merja Keskinen and ceramic art by Kirsi Kivivirta are the centerpieces that set the mood for each space.
