Housing

Pohjola Building

The concept aims to create a new functional model for a hybrid block solution. It preserves the values of the original Pohjola building and its spaces, but also builds a new identity for the area.

Seven residential units are connected with the service areas to form an innovative centre for wellbeing. The centre consists of a private hospital with a care operator and adjacent sports and wellbeing services. Removal of the existing building units improves the conditions and creates connections to the adjacent park.

Floor plans of the residential buildings are designed to easily hold a multitude of housing typologies.
